– Ashab al-Kahf and other pro-Iranian forces in Iraq have been attacking convoys and supply bases of the US-led coalition for more than a year. These attacks were conceived in response to the assassination of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iraqi People’s Mobilization Units and the commander of the Iranian Quds forces, Qassem Sulaymani.
